Back on the Water

The month of May saw a lot of good sailing weather, which has meant dinghy and yacht sailors alike have been able to get out on the water. We have also seen members windsurfing, out on paddle boards, working on their boats or simply relaxing on the beach.

It has been so good to see people 'for real' and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped to protect fellow members and the reputation of the club by observing the social distancing rules on the beach and when sailing.

We have been looking at the possibility of introducing organised on-the-water events but feel that until the government relaxes the rules for social distancing and numbers of people who can meet together this will not be possible.

We will continue to monitor the situation, taking into account government announcements and RYA advice, and will let you know as soon as the situation changes.
