The Future of Training at LOSSC

We are very pleased to inform all members that we have taken a bold step forward in the delivery of sail training at our Club. After significant research and discussion with other Clubs, the RYA, and several training providers, we have signed an agreement with Declan McKenna, of McKenna Sea Breeze Watersports, to deliver sailing training to members, and non members, using our excellent facilities. This will have multiple benefits:

- Removal of the burden placed upon the stalwart volunteers that have served the Club for many, many years.

- Provision of a much needed income stream.

- A significant increase in the capacity and types of courses available to members.

- The creation of an environment to build and develop our cohort of young sailors.

It is the last point that is so important. Establishing an enduring arrangement that grows our cadre of young sailors will ensure the healthy future of our Club.

This new arrangement will have no impact on current Club activity.

There will be many other questions which you may have and so a briefing and discussion session will take place in the near future.
