SLOSHH
This year's SLOSHH, hosted by Seafarers Sailing Club, saw a windy start. Twelve boats launched from Lee on Solent, with gusty winds helping them reach Seafarers in record times. It wasn't 'plain sailing' by any means, with several capsizes along the way, tricky gybing and hairy kite dropping. But it was worth it, with LOSSC members taking 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd , and as a club Lee

SNOOKER - Autumn / Winter Season Update
The nicer spring weather we are now enjoying heralds the close of the Winter snooker season; and what a season it has been. It is the first time members have been able to enjoy playing snooker in our fabulous new Clubhouse facility. SAILING SEASON HAS STARTED
This year's Sailing Season began with the Brass Monkey race, which unusually enjoyed warm sunny weather and fair winds. Since then, we have seen everything from winds so light boats have ended up sailing backwards, to races being cancelled due to Force 8 winds. But luckily, there has been plenty of good sailing weather as can be seen from this footage of Thursday's race (courtesy of Ben Shirley). 20220414 - LOSSC.mp4

THURSDAY 7 APRIL - SAILING CANCELLED
In light of the morning's conditions - F7 Westerly, and the forecast for the afternoon and evening which remains roughly the same, the likelihood of being able to sail safely this evening is miniscule. Chris Watts returned to LOSSC, on Thursday 24 February, to explain the key racing rules and how they affect us and our racing strategies. RIBS
Over the last few months, the RIB team have been hard at work, with the emphasis on the Orange Searider which has had a full refurbishment (thanks to Kevin Clark). A wonderful job has been done on the hull of the Searider... it really is as good as, if not better, than new!
