Open Days and Fun Days

Open Days

Club Open Days are open to everyone.

This is your opportunity to find out what we do, what we offer and how you can get involved.

On Club Open Days you will be able to look around our facilities, talk to club members about our social activities and sailing activities and, weather permitting, take to the water with some of our most experienced members either in a RIB or a dinghy, or try out a kayak or SUP.

There will also be refreshments available throughout the day.

Booking is recommended, as this will help us minimise queuing and ensure we have enough craft, buoyancy aids and club members on hand.

If you are planning to go out on the water, please make sure you wear appropriate clothing and/or a change of clothing as you may well get wet.

Discover Sailing

Discover Sailing offers an introduction to our on-water programmes, including Youth and Cadets, and Family activities.

There will be opportunities to try out dinghy sailing, RIB rides and kayaking.

Experienced club sailors will accompany you while sailing or on the powerboats.

Club members will be available to talk about membership options, training programmes, racing series and social activities.

Booking is advised to minimise queuing and to ensure we have enough craft, buoyancy aids, and support available.

Facilities provided will include:

- refreshments
- changing facilities, including hot showers
- use of club buoyancy aids

Family Fun Days

During the summer we run a number of Family Fun Days, combining both the sailing and social elements of our Club.

These are open to all club members of all ages and abilities. The only requirement is that you have FUN!

Details will be made available nearer the date, but it is guaranteed that refreshments, boats and sea will be available in some form or other.

As well as club boats and kayaks, there will be a patrol boat on the water and some of the Club's more experienced sailors will be there to give help where needed.
