Quiz Night 2021

Published 22:55 on 18 Jan 2021
This week's quiz saw another very closely fought competition.
Ten teams faced five rounds: general knowledge, the USA, sporting acronyms, bridges and rivers.
With General Knowledge questions including the name for a cross between a donkey and a zebra, the country that won the 2005 Elephant Polo World Championships, and the name that Barbara Millicent Roberts is better known as, this was not a high scoring round. The Rivers round on the other hand was very high scoring with Caroline and Nick getting a full 10 out of 10 marks.
The top three teams were Richard and Jennifer on 32.5, Dave and Maggie on 35, and Caroline and Nick who pipped them to the post by just half a mark winning with 35.5.
Well done everyone.
Next week's quiz will again start at 8 pm on Monday.
