Start of the Race Season 2021

What a great start to this season's sailing.

The first race of the season took place on Tuesday 30 March. We saw 24 boats racing and many more just out for a social sail. The tide was further out than anyone could remember seeing it before, so it was quite a trek down into the water. And even in the water, a few found themselves going aground. But what a fantastic atmosphere and beautiful weather for our first outing.

Thursday was equally beautiful weather, a bit windier but we still had a great turnout for the Aeros, medium and slow fleets.

Saturday was a bit blustery and the sun couldn't quite make its mind up whether or not to come out, but again we saw another great turnout. The race consisted of three starts, two courses and some great sailing.

Let's hope the rest of the season is as good as the first week.
